Grand River Lane Closure Postponed

City officials say they were notified by the contractor that they have delayed the start date of the work and all lanes of Grand River will be open to traffic. Officials say they will let everyone know when they learn of the new start date.

Nominations Sought For Brighton Rotary Trade Scholarship

Nominations are accepted from teachers or counselors for students who live in the Brighton Area Schools district, are graduating from high school in 2019, and will be attending a accredited Michigan school, program or institute that provides education and/or training in a traditional trade field.

Ruling Ordered In Lawsuit Filed By Former School Administrator

The district is seeking the trial judge to issue decisions on its motions to dismiss the lawsuit and impose sanctions on former administrator Tracey Sahouri for her “failure to timely provide discovery of audio recordings” and her, “destruction of text messages.”

Deputies with the Livingston County Sheriff’s were dispatched at about 1:30am Sunday to I-96 and Pleasant Valley Road on the report of a two-vehicle crash at the partial interchange, located in Brighton Township.
