A citizen survey aims to help Northfield Township identify future priorities.

Officials are currently working to establish the township's budget for the 2019-2020 fiscal year, and thus are encouraging citizen input on where township funds would be best utilized. The input will help officials plan the budget for the upcoming year and better serve residents. The survey includes three questions and asks respondents to explain what their priorities are for Northfield Township. They are asked to weigh different areas that include: preserve farms and natural areas, improve downtown Whitmore Lake, encourage business development, develop a lakefront park, encourage residential development in the sewer service areas and improve township roads. Officials say knowing the desires of community members will aid the Board of Trustees in future decision making.

The survey will be open until Thursday, March 27th. The link is provided. (JM)
