Detroit Salt Co. President's Body Found Near Plane Crash

The body of 53-year-old Emanuel Manos of Monroe was found Wednesday night while the search for 65-year-old Randal Dippold, of Perry, was ongoing. Dippold owns a flight training service based in Howell, which is where the single-engine Beechcraft 35 Bonanza was based.

Milford Man Enters Plea In Attempted Rape

21-year-old Zachary William Brown was charged with first degree home invasion and assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct. On Tuesday, he entered a no contest plea in Oakland County Circuit Court.

Evidentiary Hearing Ordered In 2014 Rape Case

25-year-old Justin Michael Bailey of Oceola Township is charged with two counts of third degree criminal sexual conduct for a November 2014 incident in which he is alleged to have raped a 17-year-old girl.

Brighton Race Car Finally Makes It To Indy 500

The innovative race car, #89, had sat in a barn outside of Brighton since 1966. It is now among 60 historic race cars being exhibited at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, which is located inside the 2.5-mile Indy 500 race oval.

On Tuesday, Coney Joe’s owner Kim Axtin Bredow posted on Facebook that she has sold the building on W. Grand River that the iconic restaurant was located in and it is permanently closed with plans to auction off everything inside.

Charges Dropped Against Northfield Twp. Lieutenant & Relatives

Analysis: Whitmer's Road Plan Would Widen Per-Vehicle Disparity

According to the analysis by Crain's Detroit Business, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's $2.5 billion road-funding proposal would increase annual road funding for Livingston County by $31 per vehicle by 2021, while Keweenaw County would see an increase in funding of $239 per vehicle.
