The Michigan High School Athletic Association announced Monday its divisions in football for the 2020 season. Under the plan, Brighton, Howell and Hartland stay in Division 1, while Fowlerville and Pinckney will be in Division 3. The 500-plus schools that offer 11-man football were split into 65-team divisions. In the past, divisions were based on playoff points established after the regular season. The MHSSA also announced that Fowlerville has been moved to Class A, a designation that is now only used to group schools in MHSAA elections.
