The Howell Archery Team was recognized for an outstanding inaugural season at Monday’s Board of Education meeting.

Superintendent Erin MacGregor said the team had 70 members in this, its first year, with hopes for up to 90 next season. In recognizing the team’s accomplishments, MacGrgeor said they had taken several tournaments, including the National Archery in the Schools Program World Championship in Louisville, Kentucky, “by storm.” Two of the team’s members were singled out for praise; Grant Fyke and Luke Lowery, who both attend Parker Middle School.

Fyke was honored for being named the Overall Champion in Centershot Bullseye and Lowery was honored for earning first place in Centershot 3D. (JK)
