Cleary University Athletics has officially named Brittany Knopp as the new head coach of the Women's Ice Hockey program.

Knopp comes from Central Michigan University where she spent three seasons as the Head Women's Hockey Coach and four as the Assistant Coach for the Men's Hockey team. Cleary's Women's team will be an ACHA program and Knopp says she has full intentions of recruiting a full team and competing next season.

"I want recruits who want to continue their hockey career but also be able to juggle academics and being a hard working female athlete," said Knopp about the recruits she is looking for, "Our first year goal is to get a team and win some games to establish a foundation as we are coming from ground zero and establishing what we want our program to look like. In two years we should be qualifying for nationals and five years from now I want to win nationals."
