Believe it or not but we’re now just two days away from our next “Game
of the Week” here on 93.5 as will be at Howell high school Friday
night for boys basketball as the Highlanders bring in the Bulldogs of
Brighton!

Both teams enter the game fresh off victories last night as Brighton
downed Plymouth 55-45, while Howell beat Northville on the road 44-42.

Our coverage begins at 6:40 with my pre-game show, and then Dan Leach
and I will have the call for you starting at 7pm.

Other finals last night saw Hartland fall in overtime to Canton 47-43
at home, Salem beat Novi on the road 60-52, Pinckney fell to Ypsilanti
Arbor Prep 46-38, and Fowlerville was over Owosso 74-48.

In girl’s action: Hartland blew past Canton 53-37. Howell destroyed
Northville 42-28. Brighton rolled past Plymouth 46-12. Fowlerville
beat Owosso 36-26. And Novi edged Salem 57-56.

Michigan got back into the winning column last night on the hardwood
as they snapped a three-game losing streak after they beat Maryland
83-64.

Hunter Dickinson led the way with 21 points

The University has also announced today they’ve reached a $490 million
dollar settlement with more than 1,000 survivors who were sexually
assaulted by former sports doctor Robert Anderson.

Individuals and their attorneys will determine how to split $460
million with no input from the university, and an additional $30
million will be set aside for future claims. The payouts also will not
be equal will be determined by a third-party allocator based on
several variables.

And the NFL has announced today they have fined Tampa Bay head coach
Bruce Arians $50,000 for swiping his hand at safety Andrew Adams
helmet after he was attempting to pull a player out of a pile after a
muffed punt which would have drawn a penalty.

Titans running back Derrick Henry has also taken another step towards
returning this week for Tennessee’s divisional match up with the
Bengals on Saturday, as he went through some drills during an
individual period of practice after sitting out since November 1st
because of a fractured foot.
