We’re just over an hour away from our “Game of the Week” tonight as
we’re on the road at Hartland High School for our very first girls
basketball game of the season as the Eagles get set to play host to
the Bulldogs.

Hartland enter the game after having their 33 game regular season win
streak snapped on Tuesday against Howell – and head coach Don Palmer
told me what he told his team following the loss…

"You just have to get over it. In basketball, you just don't have time to pout because you have to play two games after that. In football you have to live with it for a week. That was the message, I don't know if they took it or not. But I felt the best team won that night".

Now of course Hartland has received a lot of publicity and coverage
the last few years, and rightfully so. But Brighton has been just
behind them record wise after going 15-4 last year, and 21-3 in both
2018 and 2019 – and Bulldogs head coach Paul Ash talked about how
great it is to have two teams in the same county thriving….

"It's been fun. The kids get excited for those games. Fans get excited for those games. As coaches we would like a few more easy games, but that's the way it is. Don's a great coach and he knows how to use some really good ball players up there".

You can hear more from both coaches in my pre-game show which comes
your way tonight at 6:40, and then Dan Leach and I will have the call
at the top of the hour starting at 7.

And the NFL put out a list of their All Pro team today and the Lions
had zero players make the list, making them one of three teams to be
shut out. The other two included the Giants and Dolphins.
