Week 8 of the high school football season has come to a close and Hartland has captured the KLAA West division title after beating Canton 21-0 to move to 7-1 on the season. The shutout was also only the 3rd time the Chiefs have been held scoreless in the past 20 years, and the first time in the regular season since 1999.

Elsewhere around the county, as heard right here on 93.5 for our "Game Of The Week", Howell was over Brighton 21-14, Pinckney fell to Detroit U.D. Jesuit 29-13, while Fowlerville’s game at Lansing Catholic was canceled because of positive COVID cases within the Gladiators program.
