An Arizona man who was detained and released without charges in connection with the unsolved abduction of Nancy Guthrie has been arrested again, according to local authorities — on unrelated charges.

"Luke Daley was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on September 30, 2026," a Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesperson told Fox News Digital. "This is unrelated to the Nancy Guthrie case."

Daley, 37, has a lengthy criminal record and prior felony convictions. But on Feb. 13, police pulled him over in a Culver's parking lot and raided his mother's home during the investigation into Guthrie's kidnapping from her home roughly two miles away in Tucson's Catalina Foothills neighborhood.

Hours later, he was released without charges.

There are no publicly identified suspects in Guthrie's abduction, and her whereabouts remain unknown. A masked intruder who appeared on her doorstep in Nest doorbell camera video around the time she was taken also remains at large.

"Mr. Daley has no link whatsoever to Nancy Guthrie and has no information related to her kidnapping," Daley's attorney, Chris Scileppi, said in a statement after his release. "Like the entire Tucson community, both Mr. Daley and his mother are hopeful that Nancy will be returned to her family unharmed."

Daley did have pending drug and firearm charges and was on probation for another case involving drugs and weapons violations. Prosecutors have petitioned to have his probation revoked in the latter.

Anyone with information on Guthrie's case is asked to dial 1-800-CALL-FBI or contact Tucson's Crime Stoppers affiliate at 520-88-CRIME. There is a combined sum of more than $1.2 million in reward money that remains unclaimed.

The 84-year-old mother of "Today" co-host Savannah Guthrie has been missing for more than eight months.

Her family received a pair of notes from her purported kidnappers through online tip submission forms for the media — one demanding ransom and the other claiming she had died unexpectedly.

Investigators have not identified the senders or confirmed those notes' authenticity.
