The City of Brighton is hosting a grand opening ceremony to celebrate the completion of enhancements to St. Paul Pocket Park
The park is located on the corner of St. Paul Street and the west side of Grand River in downtown Brighton.
The event will take place on Friday, June 6th at 6pm and is open to the public.
Made possible through strong community support - including a $17,000 donation from Robertson Brothers Homes, the newly enhanced park features a new vibrant mural, sculptures by Detroit’s Nordin Brothers, enhanced landscaping, beautiful flowering pots, and refurbished benches-creating a welcoming and artistic space for all.
The City says a highlight of the event will be the attendance of muralist Tess Marhofer, the creative force behind the new mural, along with local collaborators who brought the vision to life.
Guests will enjoy live music and complimentary appetizers in a festive atmosphere that celebrates art, community and culture.
Brighton Arts and Culture Commission Chair Jeri Kay Thomas said "We are excited to unveil these enhancements and celebrate this milestone with the community. This project represents the power of community collaboration and our shared commitment to creating vibrant, welcoming public spaces that celebrate the arts.”
