There was an impressive show of community spirit to prepare for the annual South Lyon Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt.
55 volunteers came together on Monday night. Participants included members of Key Clubs from both South Lyon high schools, National Honor Society students, local fire and police department personnel, community leaders, residents, and Kiwanis members.
Working efficiently as a team, the group filled 16,000 eggs with candy in just an hour and a half.
The Annual South Lyon Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt takes place this Saturday, April 4th at Volunteer Park. The free, family-friendly event is said to be “a cherished tradition in the community”.
Gates open at 11am, followed by the Egg Hunt at noon.
There are four designated fields for different age groups to ensure “a safe and enjoyable experience for all children”.
