Some road projects underway in Washtenaw County.

The Washtenaw County Road Commission will be doing chip sealing on North Territorial Rd between US-23 and Dixboro Rd in Northfield Township starting today. That’s expected to take approximately two days.

Chip sealing is also being done on Pontiac Trail between 7 Mile and 8 Mile in Salem Township. That also starts today but is only expected to take one day to complete.

For both projects, the roads will not be closed to traffic but delays are likely due to intermittent lane restrictions.

Motorists, emergency services, and others are encouraged to use an alternate route.

Separately, the Road Commission has also started up with roadside mowing along all primary paved county roads – as well as all state trunkline roads. That work will be ongoing for around a month.

All dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
