Five local student archers made the All-American Teams following nationals.
The National Archery in the Schools Program or NASP recently announced the Academic All-American Teams in the Elementary, Middle School, and High School Divisions.
There were 15,000 archers at the national tournament last week.
Locally, students from Voyager Elementary in Howell, Hartland Farms Intermediate, Hartland Middle School, Howell High School, and Okemos High School were named “All-American Academic Archers”.
Teams are the top students in the country in both academics and archery performance.
Students were named based on the results of the 2025 Eastern and Western NASP® National Tournaments and using rosters of all currently registered Academic Archers.
NASP stated “These student archers not only excelled on the range, but also were
recognized by their school for proficiency in the classroom. While there is no separate competition or event for the Academic All-American Team, earning a place on this team is a remarkable accomplishment. Each student’s name is proudly published in this annual announcement, and they are awarded a certificate presented by their coach to mark this exceptional achievement. This recognition shines a spotlight on students who have mastered the art of balancing their studies with outstanding performance on the range”.
