Beginning at 10 pm Monday, MDOT is planning nightly closures for road resurfacing on eastbound I-96 from U.S. 23 to Kensington Road through September 4. That includes both ramps from north and southbound U.S. 23 to eastbound I-96.

Detour information:

EB I-96 from US-23 to Kensington Rd all lanes closed Nightly:

Traffic will be detoured Nightly from 10:00PM to 5:00AM to the following morning to take SB US-23, Lee Rd., NB Whitmore lake, EB Grand River, Kensington Rd., to EB I-96

NB US-23 to EB I-96 Ramp Closed:

Traffic will be detoured Nightly from 10:00PM to 5:00AM to the following morning to exit at Lee Rd., NB Whitmore lake Rd. , EB Grand River Ave, Kensington Rd., to EB I-96

SB US-23 to EB I-96 Ramp Closed:

Traffic will be detoured Nightly from 10:00PM to 5:00AM to the following morning to continue on SB US-23, Lee Rd., NB Whitmore lake Rd. , EB Grand River Ave, Kensington Rd., to EB I-96.
