A resurfacing project in the Okemos/Williamston area starts up Monday.

MDOT is beginning daily closures on westbound I-96 from Meridian Road to M-52 for resurfacing in Ingham County.

The work will require daily single-lane closures on westbound I-96 from Meridian Road to M-52, or Stockbridge Road, from 10am until 9pm.

Motorists should expect delays and are advised to seek alternate routes.

The project marks a $2.4 million investment, with work lasting through mid-July.
