Highland celebrates its 190h birthday with a Founders Day parade and festival Saturday.

"We have a parade that starts at 10. Kid zone. Bounce houses. Petting zoo. Pony rides. We have Angel Paws Pet Rescue doing a pet adoption. And we have around 40 vendors and crafters," organizer Terri White told WHMI News.

White calls it Highland’s biggest celebration of the year.

"This is family-friendly, there is not alcohol. A lot of kids get involved because of the parade," she said.

The festival also offers food trucks, a car show and music.

West Livingston Road will be closed from 10am to 3pm from Clark to North St. John.
