The Hartland Consolidated Schools Board of Education on Tuesday voted to appoint Danielle Custodio to serve the remaining term of a seat left vacant by former board president Meghan Glabach.

According to the district, Custodio and her husband moved to Michigan in 2013, knowing Hartland was the community they wanted to call home because of the district’s outstanding reputation for academic excellence.

She is the proud mother of two, a 2024 HCS graduate and a current HCS student.

Custodio has held various roles in the field of education and currently works with school districts to support curriculum development and implementation. With a professional background in education and instructional support, she brings a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing today’s schools.

An active volunteer in the Hartland community, Danielle has contributed to Motor Moms, the Highly Capable program, football and cheer boosters, and the Gold Out committee. She has also served on school leadership teams and remains passionate about supporting both students and educators.

Her commitment to academic excellence, fiscal responsibility, and building strong school-community partnerships inspired her to serve on the Hartland Board of Education.

Custodio will serve until the next general election in November of 2026.
