The Green Oak Township Police Department is welcoming its newest official member.

The Department said congratulations are in order for its Cadet Programs first candidate - now officially a sworn Green Oak Officer.

Officer Teachworth was hired in October of 2023 when the Department’s Cadet Program was first established.

Through the past year and a half, Teachworth was said to have “proven himself to be dedicated, prepared, and determined”. The Department commented “Way to go, we are all ecstatic to officially have you on board!”

Officer Teachworth graduated from Wayne County Regional Police Training Academy recently and officially took his oath of office. The Department noted he even got his first OWI arrest on his first shift.
