Finally some good news for motorists - a big road reconstruction project in a busy area has been completed ahead of schedule.

The Livingston County Road Commission advises that the construction project on Grand River from Kensington Road east to the Oakland County line is now open to traffic. That’s in the Brighton Township area.

That section of Grand River has been closed since the beginning of April and was completely reconstructed. Drainage improvements were also made.

The original projected completion date that was released was June 21st.
