Genoa Township is looking to build a Citizen Advisory Council. Officials put out the call for a handful of residents in each of the new voting precincts, for focus group-style Q&A discussions on issues affecting the township.

According to a release, the Citizen Advisory Council will likely start as an email group, but could involve future in-person or zoom meetings as the need arises.

"The clerk's department did a fantastic job creating balanced, relatively 'neat' geographically based precincts. Those precincts will work well to insure we sample a strong cross-section of the entire township on a regular basis, and don't just hear from specific interest groups," the release said.

Those interested should email supervisor@genoa.org with your name, address and a quick paragraph or two about why you want to join the council.
