A 60-year-old Ingham Co. man was arrested on Thursday for reportedly driving under the influence.

Ingham County Dispatch received two calls around 6:45 p.m. for a reckless driver in the 4400 block of Holt Road, in Holt. According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office about the incident, witnesses said the vehicle reportedly drove onto the sidewalk and into oncoming traffic.

Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle near Edgar and Howell, but the driver allegedly fled. The vehicle was then found in the 200 block of N. Aurelius Road.

The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, with authorities adding this is the 9th offense. He is currently being held at the Ingham County Jail.

The Prosecutor's Office is reviewing the evidence. The Sheriff's Office said there could be additional felony charges of flee and elude and resisting arrest.
