A revamped country music festival is coming to downtown Brighton this weekend.

The Country Boots & Beats Festival takes place Saturday and features country music, food trucks, themed activities, and fun for all ages.

Live bands will perform at The AMP by the Mill Pond. The headliner is “The Louie Lee Show starring Louie Lee”. Other acts include Y'all Band, The Jacki Daniels Show, The Fox and The Fiddle, Jason Harper, and Rob Stone.

The free event is hosted by the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce and runs from noon to 11pm.

The Country Boots & Beats Festival replaces the Yellowstone County Music Festival previously held at Mt. Brighton.

Chamber President & CEO Gavin Johnson told WHMI they wanted to bring the event back downtown and make music more accessible. He said having music be free and accessible is important – and he wants to create events that everyone can come enjoy and not have to pay a lot if they don’t want to. Johnson said the focus is really on “building community-based events that are good for everyone”.
