City of Brighton is warning residents a summer asphalt treatment called Reclamite will be applied this week to Liberty, Flint, and Beaver Streets.

According to a social media post, Reclamite may appear pink and sticky at first, but it will fade and clear over time. A layer of sand is added to reduce tracking, and most of it is removed after 24 hours.

Residents may notice some remaining sand or tackiness for up to two weeks.

To avoid tracking onto your driveway, residents should consider parking on the street while the treatment dries.

Learn more about the treatment at the link below.

Anyone with questions should contact Brighton DPS at dps@brightoncity.org or (810) 225-8001.
