New dry air scrubbers installed at Green Oak Township's sewer treatment plant appear to be working. The township spent $150,000 this year to help reduce odor from the plant.
"I had to go up there and did a walk around, and yes, in the hot weather, stagnant air, it was nice," Supervisor Mark St. Charles told trustees last week. "We have gotten some comments back through our ordinance officer from residents in Hidden Lake that said thank you for doing that."
"We're waiting for the final electrical stuff for the blowers, but actually it's looking pretty nice up there."
Those blowers are expected to be up and running next week.
