Can the Blue Goose snag "America's Best-Looking Cruiser?"

The American Association of State Troopers is holding their 12th annual calendar contest. The 13 states with the most votes will nab a spot in the 2026 wall calendar, with the top cruiser being featured on the cover.

Michigan’s photo, featured in this story, was taken by the MSP Eighth District.

At the time this story was written Michigan was sitting in 3rd place with 4,424 votes. Florida and Ohio were in 1st and 2nd place respectively, with 5,065 and 4,603 votes. Kentucky, Oklahoma, Georgia, Texas, Missouri, North Dakota, Virginia, Arkansas, Arizona and Louisiana rounded out the top 13.

Hawaii is the only state not participating because they don't have a state police force.

MSP First District Information Officer Lt. Rene Gonzalez said the calendars will be sold this fall. Proceeds will go to the AAST Foundation, which provides scholarships to the family of member troopers.

Michigan came in 9th last year, getting knocked out of the top three toward the end of voting, MSP Second District Information Office F/Lt. Mike Shaw said. He added that Florida has snagged the top spot several years in a row.

Voting runs through July 11 at 5 p.m. One vote can be logged per device per person each day, and both Shaw and Gonzalez encouraged people to vote each day on every device to help nudge Michigan to the top, or at least ahead of Ohio. The link to vote is below.
