Vet Fest is returning to the Fowlerville Fairgrounds in August.

It’s dubbed “the largest free veteran outreach event in the country”.

Presented by the non-profit VETLIFE, officials say the event is more than just a celebration but a day of connection, support, and gratitude for the military community.

The event features:

-Live music, bounce houses, games & giveaways

-Free backpacks & school supplies for kids

-Veteran resource booths offering support in VA benefits, education, mental health, employment, and more

-Food trucks, raffles, and family activities

-A chance to connect with other veterans, military families, and community partners

VETLIFE says when veterans transition out of the military, they’re often overwhelmed with information and isolated from support. Vet Fest meets them where they are - “bringing life-changing resources and community directly to them in a fun, approachable way”.

Over 4,000 people are expected to attend this year and organizers say “every single one will leave with something valuable”.

Vet Fest takes place from noon to 3pm August 2nd. Admission is free but tickets should be reserved online. A link is provided.
