Waterford Police report a man called 911 around 3:41 pm Friday to say he had stabbed his fiancé.

Officers responded to a home on Hackett Street in Waterford Township. They encountered the caller, 25-year-old Seth Martin, as he exited the home and he was taken into custody.

According to a release, officers entered the home and found 33-year-old Mallory Myers inside. Waterford Regional Fire also responded to render aid to the victim. Myers was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Martin was transported to Waterford Police Headquarters, booked, and then lodged at the Oakland County jail.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence and the scene was processed with the assistance of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

Martin is now charged with first-degree premeditated murder. Bond was denied.

He's due back in Oakland County court June 27.
