Three victims of the Michigan State University campus shooting have reached settlements with the school totaling nearly $30 million, according to their attorneys.

Nathan Statly, Troy Forbush, and Yukai "John" Hao were all critically injured in the February 2023 shooting.

A total of eight people were shot by 43-year-old Anthony McRae, who opened fire at the university, before turning the gun on himself as police closed in.

Students Alexandria Verner, Brian Fraer and Arielle Anderson were killed in the attack. Five others were wounded.

Grewal Law, representing Statly and Forbush, secured almost $17 million for their clients.

Statly suffered severe brain injuries after being shot in the head. Forbush was shot in the chest.

Another survivor who was paralyzed from the chest down after being shot in the back, Yukai "John" Hao, received a $13 million settlement through Gruel Mills Nims & Pylman.

MSU also agreed to waive Hao's tuition, room and board, and provide health insurance for him as he completes his undergraduate and graduate degrees at the school.
