Livingston County Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help with finding a hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a pedestrian along Center Road in Deerfield Township Wednesday night.

According to a release, it happened just after 9 pm along Center, east of Mack Road.

Investigators say a 22-year-old Linden resident was walking against the flow of traffic eastbound on Center, when struck by an unknown make model and color vehicle traveling westbound.

The driver did not stop after the crash.

Two citizens who did not witness the crash stopped to help the pedestrian and called 911. The pedestrian was transported to The University of Michigan Hospital with serious injuries.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by personnel from Hartland Area Fire Department, and Livingston County EMS.
