Monday is the deadline for those interested to fill a soon-to-be vacant seat on the Hartland Consolidated Schools Board of Education.

Board President Meghan Glabach is resigning her post June 20, saying her family has been offered an "opportunity out-of-state," according to the board's vice president.

Glabach served as Board Treasurer for one year and President since July of 2023. She was originally appointed to the Board of Education in February of 2022 and later elected to a six-year term in November of 2022.

Candidates looking to fill Glabach's seat have until noon monday to submit a letter of interest and supporting documents to Board Vice President Kristin Coleman at 9525 E. Highland Rd, Howell, MI 48843.

The appointed candidate will serve the remainder of Glabach's term until the next general election in November 2026.
