The Livingston County Veterans Council has named Don Lang its Veteran of the Month for May.

Lang served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1973.

Following his attendance at Ft. Benning, Georgia Officer Candidate School, he worked as a Military Trafficking Analyst and Cryptographer.

Affectionately known as "Papa Don", Lang continues to serve his community as the Americanism Chair for Howell American Legion Post #141, providing specific emphasis on student scholarships and opportunities.
