The Kensington Art Fair is planning to color everyone impressed this weekend.

The annual event starts Saturday morning and runs through Monday afternoon.

Over 100 artists from across the country will be showing and selling a variety of art, from sculptures to prints to jewelry.

Event organizer Mark Loeb said there will be lots to do throughout the weekend, including Memorial Day food favorites, a 10-ton sand sculpture, make your own art with the DIA, including a smaller sand sculpture and music.

The art fair is expected to be more relaxed and less crowded than city art fairs, Loeb said.

A lot of the art will be themed around nature, whether that is something seen in a garden or out in the world.

Along with the art fair, attendees can check out all the amenities at the Metropark, including the boat launch, the farm and plenty of trails.

The only entrance fee is to get into Kensington Metropark. If you have an annual pass, you are already set to head in.

The Kensington Art Fair is being held at Maple Beach. It runs from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Monday.
