Village of Pinckney Police Department issued an update Monday to last year's theft of new vehicles at Pinckney Chrysler, saying a total of seven suspects have now been charged.
It happened in March 2024, when an officer responding to a "suspicious situation" arrived to find vehicles fleeing the parking area off Kirkland Court. One vehicle was stopped, and it was determined that the driver was a participant in the theft that was occurring.
Police in Brighton, Hamburg and Michigan State Police almost immediately engaged in a pursuit of one of the stolen vehicles. The suspect driver was eventually caught as well as another getaway driver who was trying to help him.

According to the release, these subjects have been identified as allegedly victimizing citizens and car dealerships all over southern Michigan. The only charges listed above that are not multi-year felonies are the suspended license and reckless driving violations.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
