An annual fundraiser to help families keep the heat on during the cold winter months is returning to Livingston County this weekend.

The Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency or OLHSA is hosting its 34th annual Walk for Warmth this Saturday at the Hartland Educational Center, the old High School, from 8:30am to 11am.

Contributions to Walk for Warmth support emergency services provided by OLHSA that help keep local neighbors safe and warm. 100% of funds raised stay in Livingston County.

Last year’s event raised $33,500 and assisted 305 people including 103 children, 96 disabled, and 58 elderly individuals.

Entertainment will include costumed characters, MISS DIG 811 mascot, MDHHS environmental water activities, and beats by DJ Aaron Aeschliman. Games include Bingo, hopscotch, and a children's scavenger hunt. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, and a chance to explore local vendors.

People are encouraged to register to walk in teams or individually but can also just show up on the day of the event. Donations are also always being accepted. Details can be found in the provided link.
