Three community organizations will benefit from an upcoming tropical-themed fundraiser.

The Livingston County Sunrise Rotary Club, in collaboration with the Livingston County Sunrise Rotary Foundation, announced the 2024 Annual Midnight in the Tropics event, set to take place on Saturday, March 2nd at Crystal Gardens in Genoa Township.

Over the past decade, the Foundation has contributed nearly $650,000 to local non-profits and service providers, with the majority of the funds directly benefiting Livingston County residents.

The upcoming event will support three organizations: Torch 180, Reaching Higher, and Livingston County Catholic Charities’ Youth Substance Abuse Program.

Torch 180 is a unique training facility dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities by providing them with the skills and opportunities to gain employment in the food service industry.

Reaching Higher's mission is to empower today's students for tomorrow's decisions. Their eight-session program focuses on increasing self-confidence, teaching goal-setting strategies, enhancing decision-making abilities, improving public speaking and interpersonal communication skills, and providing effective stress and coping skills.

Livingston County Catholic Charities’ Youth Substance Abuse Program offers innovative programming and events to educate youth and families about the devastating effects of substance use. It also empowers local youth to become leaders in their communities and make a positive impact.
