Registration is open for two parenting classes.

LACASA Center is offering two eight-week parenting programs this winter. The Nurturing Parenting series is designed for parents with young children up to age 11 and the Parenting 2.0 series helps parents navigate the tween and teen years. Registration is open for both programs, which begin in January and will be held in-person at LACASA Center in Howell.

The Nurturing Parenting program supports parents of young children from newborn to age 11 and focuses on teaching parents about empathy, appropriate expectations, and positive discipline.

Nurturing Parenting will be held on Tuesdays from 6 to 8pm at LACASA Center and runs January 17th through March 7th. the program fee is $100 for one parent, $125 if both parents attend, and covers all class materials.

The Parenting 2.0 program is designed to help parents through the challenging years of raising tweens and teens and focuses on teen development, parenting styles, and setting limits and rules.

Parenting 2.0 will be held on Wednesdays from 6 – 8 p.m. at LACASA Center and runs January 25th through March 15th. That program fee is $100 for one parent, $125 if both parents attend, and covers all class materials. Some scholarships are available.
