Job Details: Primary location: City of South Lyon

Department: Department of Public works

Job Status: Full time hourly, non-exempt, AFSCME Union Position 

Shift: 7 am to 3:30 pm 

Starting Pay: Base $20.26 with annual increases on a 5-year scale up to $28.97

Additional $3.50 in liceses available thru AFSCME contract

Special Experience & Education: High School diploma or GED, Clean and valid Driver's license, Must be legally able to work in U.S., Current and valid State of Michigan CDL (B) Driver Licesnce (Air Brake Endorsement)-preferred, Must be able to obtain and maintain a CDL B with air brake endorsement within 6 months of hire.

Job Resposibilites: Operate and maintain a wide variety of equipment, including backhes, dump trucks, snow plows, tractors and lawn mowers; Perform essential street and building maintenance; Assist with general construction projects across city properties; Install and repair water and sewer infrastructure; Maintain parks, trails, and landscaped are to keep our community clean, safe and welcoming
