Tickets are $18 for seniors/students & $20 for adults.
Many moons ago in a far-off place, Queen Aggravain decreed no couples could marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, found a bride. Princesses came from far and wide to win the hand of the prince, but none could pass the impossible tests given to them by the Queen. That is, until the “shy” swamp princess, Winnifred the Woebegone, showed up. Would she be able to pass the Sensitivity Test, marry her prince and help Lady Larkin and Sir Harry to the altar? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the classic tale The Princess and the Pea provides some side-splitting shenanigans. For after all, a princess is a delicate thing.

Youth Art Voice Exhibit
Livingston County youth have much to share related to their perception of and experiences with mental health. They want you to see it, hear it, and talk about it. The Howell Opera House and the Livingston County Community Alliance are hosting the Youth Art Voice Exhibit on Friday, May 17. The public is invited to browse the art collection anytime between 6-8pm. Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
Youth Art Voice encourages youth to explore and communicate what mental health means from their unique viewpoints and experiences. Art, in various forms, including photos, sculptures, drawings, paintings, poems, and music, are used by youth as a way of expressing themselves around this important topic. The Youth Art Voice Exhibit showcases the art, which will be on display at The Howell Opera House at 123 W. Grand River Ave in Howell on Friday, May 17 from 6-8pm. The exhibit is free.
Youth Art Voice is much more than creating art. Youth have participated in a process of reflection around mental health. Those who have submitted artwork have discussed with the advisors about their artwork, explaining why they created it, sharing what it means, and discussing common themes that emerge. Many of the youth who have submitted artwork have stated that creating art has helped them to cope with their mental health and to have a better understanding of what it means to them and those around them. To keep the event safe for all, trigger warnings will be displayed as needed. A trigger warning is a statement notifying the audience about a piece of art containing potentially disturbing content. That content might include graphic references to topics such as sexual abuse, self-harm, violence, eating disorders, and others. Resources for local mental health services will be available at the event and mental health and prevention professionals will be on site to discuss and support reactions to any of the artwork and messages.
The public is invited to attend the Youth Art Voice Exhibit and support local youth who have found their voices using art - art voices.
The Livingston COMMUNITY PREVENTION Project (LCPP), the Livingston County Community Alliance (LCCA), and the Livingston Youth-Led Advisory Board sponsor the Youth Art Voice. LCPP is a collaborative of two agencies including Karen Bergbower & Associates & Livingston County Catholic Charities. The LCPP formed in 2008 and implements several prevention programs that proved to affect substance use and related problems. LCPP places an emphasis on youth-led prevention, engaging youth in the prevention process, while building assets and fostering success. Youth are encouraged to join local youth-led initiatives as well as participate in our countywide youth-led advisory board. LCCA is a countywide, anti-drug coalition that aims to unite the Livingston County community to reduce and prevent youth substance use and to live a healthy and drug-free lifestyle. Our purpose is to connect the Livingston County community to establish and promote healthy community norms concerning the use of alcohol, drugs, and tobacco. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Recovery Oriented Systems of Care, and the Community Mental Health Partnership of Southeast Michigan provide funding for this event.

Opportunitees Golf Outing
This is the Work Skills Foundation's largest fundraising event and it is YOUR participation that ensures Work Skills clients receive the support they need to live richer, more successful lives.
Focusing on each individual's abilities rather than his or her disabilities has allowed us to change more than 50,000 lives in the past 50 years! We have a long history of adding and enhancing programs based on unmet needs in the community and can only continue to do that with your support. Your participation means more than ever this year! As Work Skills expenses continue to increase, the need for Foundation support is imperative to the success of thousands of our friends, family members and neighbors of all abilities who rely on us.
The event is called OpportuniTEES ... More Than a Golf Outing for good reason. Your investment into the lives of people of all abilities provides opportunities for them to gain confidence, independence, self-sufficiency, a sense of belonging, and hope.
